General Operative, Barlow Properties, Cork, €15 ph

Overview: We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team in a fast-paced accommodation centre in Glounthaune .

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance duties across the centre (minor repairs, upkeep)
• Carry out daily and nightly building checks to ensure the safety and functionality of facilities.
• Support cleaning and hygiene standards in communal and outdoor areas
• Assist with fire safety checks, waste management.
• Respond to resident queries or concerns appropriately and refer to management as needed
• Record maintenance and shift logs accurately and consistently
• Support staff in the safe management of incidents or emergencies, following protocols
• Participate in health and safety routines, training, and team meetings

Requirements:

• Flexibility to work a 24/7 shift pattern (days/nights/weekends)
• Good practical skills and experience in maintenance or facility care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Empathy and professionalism when engaging with families from diverse backgrounds
• Basic IT and record-keeping skills
• Garda vetting will be required for the role.
